 Renter Qualifications and Required Documents
 1. Age Requirement: The renter must be between 21 and 70 years old.
 2. Booking and Rental Agreement Documents: The name provided during the booking process must match
the name of the person picking up the vehicle. All documents must belong to the same individual. The renter
must be present in person at the time of pickup and present the following original documents to our staff:
  • Identification: A valid National ID Card or Passport.
  • Driver’s License: A valid Thai Driver’s License or an International Driving Permit (IDP).
  • Credit Card: The renter must provide a physical credit card with a name matching the booking details. This card will be used for service payment and a security deposit of 5,000 THB upon vehicle pickup.
  Note: We strictly do not accept debit cards, cash, or bank transfers for service payments or security deposits under any circumstances.
  • Document Validity: All documents must be originals issued by the relevant authorities and must be currently valid (not expired).



Terms and Conditions of Service :
1. No-Refund Policy
The company reserves the right to decline refunds in the event that the renter cancels or requests changes to the pickup date and time specified in the booking confirmation. This policy also applies to any errors or issues resulting from the renter's own actions.

2. Insurance and Waivers

  A) Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Standard coverage (Compulsory Motor Insurance or CDW) is included in the rental rate for all vehicles. This coverage applies only to drivers named in the rental agreement.
  • CDW limits the renter's financial liability for damage to the rental vehicle.
  • The renter is responsible for a deductible (excess) ranging from 2,000 THB to 10,000 THB in cases where the renter is at fault or no third party can be identified (e.g., scratches from driving).
  • Exclusions: This coverage applies only to the vehicle's body and does not cover other components such as glass, tires, interior cabin, roof, or the undercarriage.

  B) Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) Renters may opt to purchase SCDW to further reduce liability.
  • If the vehicle is damaged, or in cases where damages cannot be recovered from a third party (or there is no third party), the renter’s deductible will be reduced to Zero (0) THB.
  • Important: SCDW does not cover vehicle loss or theft under any circumstances.
  • In the event of total loss, theft, or robbery of the vehicle, the company reserves the right to charge the renter a liability fee of 30,000 THB.

  C) Theft Protection (TP)
  • If the renter purchases this additional protection, the responsibility for vehicle theft is reduced to Zero (0) THB.
  • Without Theft Protection, the company will charge the renter 30,000 THB in the event of vehicle loss or theft.

  D) Tire Waiver (TW)
  • If the renter purchases this additional protection, the responsibility for tire damage is reduced to Zero (0) THB for all cases.
  • Note: Please be advised that standard CDW and SCDW do not cover tire damage under any circumstances.

  ) Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) Renters can purchase additional Personal Accident and Property Insurance (PAI). This covers medical expenses during hospitalization, death, loss of organs, permanent blindness, or total permanent disability, as well as the renter's personal property.
  • Rate: 160.50 THB per day (inclusive of 7% VAT).

1. Weekend Surcharge

  A weekend surcharge of 200 THB per day (inclusive of 7% VAT) will be applied for rentals on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. This fee may vary depending on the travel period, company terms, or ongoing promotions.

2. Booking Amendments
 A) Changes to Date, Time, or Pickup Location If the renter is unable to pick up the vehicle as scheduled or wishes to modify the date, time, or location specified in a prepaid booking, the following conditions apply:
   • An amendment fee of 200 THB per occurrence (inclusive of 7% VAT) will be charged
   • The renter must request changes at least 2 days prior to the pickup date by emailing reserve@hertzthailand.com. The amendment fee can be paid at the counter on the pickup date.
   • The company will consider requests to reschedule based on valid reasons and supporting evidence, such as medical certificates. If approved, the rental period may be postponed for no more than 3 months from the original booking completion date..
   • The company reserves the right not to issue refunds under any circumstances.

 B) Rental Extension To extend the rental period beyond the duration specified in the agreement, the renter must provide 2 days' notice. Please contact the branch staff to arrange the extension. Extensions will be charged at the current walk-in (counter) rates.

 C) After-Hours Pickup and Return Vehicles must generally be picked up and returned during the branch's operating hours. If the renter requires service outside of these hours, an After-Hours Service Fee of 535 THB (inclusive of 7% VAT) will be applied per occurrence.
   Note: Operating hours vary by branch. Renters can check the specific opening and closing times on our website under the "Locations" menu

1.Security Deposit Pre-authorization

 For all vehicle models, the renter must provide a credit card for a security deposit (pre-authorization) of 5,000 THB. This process merely blocks the specified amount on the card and will be unblocked (released) upon completion of the rental, provided the vehicle is returned without damage or outstanding charges.

 Note:

   • One credit card can be used for only one rental agreement at a time.
   • The name on the credit card must match the name of the renter specified in the booking.
   • The name on the credit card must match the name of the renter specified in the booking.

 2. One-Way Rentals (Drop-off at Different Locations)

  One-way rentals are available for bookings of 3 days or more, subject to the following conditions:

   • 3–4 Day Rentals: An additional one-way fee will be charged based on the distance between branches.
   • 5 Day Rentals or More: The one-way service fee is waived (free of charge).
   • Restriction: One-way rentals are not permitted for vehicles rented from the Nan, Phitsanulok, and Nakhon Si Thammarat branches.

 3.Minimum Rental Period

   The minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours). A grace period of 59 minutes is allowed for vehicle returns. If the vehicle is returned later than this grace period, an additional daily rental fee will be charged based on the current rates of the pickup branch.

 4. Fuel Policy

   All rental vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel upon delivery. The renter must return the vehicle with a full tank. Failure to do so will result in additional refueling service charges.

 5. Vehicle Models

   Vehicle models displayed on the website are examples of the car types and specifications within each category. Please be advised that the company cannot guarantee a specific make or model; the renter will receive the selected model or an equivalent within the same group.

 6. Additional Services

   All optional or additional services are subject to availability at the time of rental.

 7. Right to Amend Terms

   The company reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

Optional Services and Additional Insurance :

1.Optional Services

A) Satellite Navigation System (GPS) :

 To request a GPS unit, please notify the Reservation Department in advance by emailing reserve@hertzthailand.com.

   • Rate: 214 THB / day.
   • Maximum Charge: 3,210 THB per rental agreement (Prices include 7% VAT).

B) Baby & Child Seats :

  To request a child or infant safety seat, please notify the Reservation Department in advance by emailing reserve@hertzthailand.com.

   • Rate: 321 THB / day.
   • Maximum Charge: 3,210 THB per rental agreement (Prices include 7% VAT).

2.Additional Insurance Options

A) Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) :

 By purchasing SCDW, the renter's financial responsibility for damage to the vehicle is reduced to Zero (0) THB (Zero Excess), including cases where there is no third party involved.

   • Exclusions: SCDW does not cover vehicle loss or theft.
   • Liability: In the event of total loss or theft, the company reserves the right to charge a liability fee of 30,000 THB.

Note: The maximum charge for SCDW is capped at 6,420 THB per rental agreement.

B) Theft Protection (TP)

 This coverage protects the renter in the event of vehicle loss or theft, reducing the deductible to Zero (0) THB.

Note: Standard CDW and SCDW do not cover vehicle theft or loss.

C) Tire Waiver (TW)

  Standard CDW and SCDW do not cover tire damage caused by accidents, road conditions (potholes, debris), or sharp objects. Renters are responsible for repair or replacement costs unless TW is purchased.

  For maximum protection, we recommend the Full Coverage Package, which includes SCDW, TP, and TW.

Note: The maximum charge for Full Coverage is capped at 7,490 THB per rental agreement.

E) Personal Accident and Effects Insurance (PAI)

  PAI provides coverage for medical expenses and accidental death or disability for the renter and passengers during the rental period.

  • Coverage includes: Death, loss of limbs, permanent blindness, total permanent disability, medical expenses, and personal property inside the vehicle.
  • Coverage Limits
   o Accidental Death: 1,000,000 THB per person.
   o Medical Expenses: 250,000 THB per person.
   o Personal Property: 40,000 THB per occurrence.
  • Premium: 160.50 THB / day (Inclusive of 7% VAT).

Exclusions and Policy Restrictions
  1. Activation of Coverage: All insurance policies and protection plans become effective immediately once the renter has signed the rental agreement and accepted all terms and conditions.
  2. Personal Property: Insurance coverage does not include loss or damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle. The company assumes no responsibility for such losses under any circumstances.
  3. Cleaning and Odor Fines: In the event of strong odors inside the vehicle—such as those from cigarettes, durian, food, or cannabis—or if evidence of pets is found inside the car, a fine of 10,000 THB will be charged.
  4. Accessories: A replacement fee of 100 THB per item will be charged for any lost or damaged stickers or keychains.
  5. Water Damage and Flooding: If the vehicle is damaged due to flooding or being driven through water, resulting in damage to the interior, flooring, or lower section of the car, a damage fee of 10,000 THB will be charged.
   o If such actions result in total vehicle damage, a fee of 30,000 THB will be applied.
   o These fees apply regardless of whether additional insurance has been purchased.
  6. Prohibited Use: The renter must not use the vehicle for any illegal activities or take the vehicle outside the borders of the Kingdom of Thailand.
  7. Theft or Robbery: In the event of vehicle theft or robbery, the renter is required to report the incident to the police and obtain an official daily police report as evidence.
  8. International Membership: Benefits and terms associated with Hertz International cannot be combined with Hertz Thailand services. However, renters may provide their Hertz International membership number for service tracking and data recording purposes only.
